My benchmark for a good search engine is one that can get me the best meat lovers pizza in under thirty minutes.

As no search engine has successfully completed this task, I'm still skeptical of the whole "search" thing.
Would your avatar approve of a meat-lover's pizza?

Just for the helluvit....to see if my computer would explode.....look what I Googled.

I have been using Bing lately just to see what it finds, and so far I have been please with it's results. No BSOD's from it yet

Bing is my favorite shopping engine, especially with cashback. You can get as much as %12 back from your purchases.

I really don't see what the OP describes as being anything new. I don't believe that it has to do with the websites "cheating" as such, it is Google who determines who is placed where in their listings, and that is determined by the high bidder. To get away from this somewhat, use Scroogle instead. It still uses Google's search engine, but in a less biased way, plus Scroogle doesn't track your searches like Google.
