    Sorry to hear that, Carl.

After your tragic news, I'm a bit ashamed to tell I'm quite happy and satisfied now. Had my second to last working day today, if you can call drinking coffee with a constant stream of visitors and 'wish-gooders' working.
Thank you, Kari, and don't feel one bit ashamed. Life goes on. Glad you are having a good day and one day to go on the job. Enjoy!

Today my last surviving aunt on my late mother's side died of a massive heart attack. Her family, at her wishes, had life support removed. There was no hope for a recovery and normal life.
Sorry to hear that, Carl. I do hope that she has had a long and eventful life, but she is now at rest. My sincere condolences go to you and the rest of your family at this sad time.

Thank you, Dwarf. She did enjoy a long and good life with children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was 84.

What I was going to post seems petty in light of reading of the loss Carl has experienced.

My condolences to you Carl and to your family.

I've come to learn within my life experiences dealing with death that no matter how prepared you seem to be at the expected loss of a loved one, it is that when that day finally does come, it always comes too soon.

Again, my condolences to you and your loved ones.

Thank you, Marvin. Yes, you are right; it always comes too soon. We are just not very well equipped to deal with that final parting.
