I love how you just pop out of nowhere.
Lol, I'll say this like an Apple fanboy; listen for my tone of voice: "I'm a Gadget user."
Got any Gadgets for Win 98?

I have an old Cd somewhere call PLUS for Win98

Specs on the motherboard in that HP,

Motherboard Specifications, P4SD-LA (Oxford) HP Pavilion a462x Desktop PC - HP Customer Care (United States - English)

I would start with the Intel Update Utility,

INF Update Utility - Zip Format

for the motherboard and then go here for the sound driver,

    Realtek

    and here,

    Realtek

for the ethernet driver. No promises it will work but Realtek has a habit of using a one-size-fits-all driver for all of their supported products.
