    what's up with this forum's missing post(s)?

Manually reading the forum, I tried to locate my 3/1/2010 post ("anyone succeed in burn a system image disc?"), but it isn't listed, ref...
httpCOLON//wwwDOTsevenforums.com/general-discussion/67809-anyone-succeed-burn-system-image-disc.html#post600467 ..and only my email link gets me to it.

Haven't tried using the forum's search engine, but sure seems odd that the post isn't listed for 'us' to read. Any idea why?

I tried re-freshing the page, repeatedly page forwarded to 2 days ago. In that I'd recently replied to a reply to my earlier subject post, when I began a manual search, I scrolled the current page 1,2,3 and nowhere was my post visible.

Until I posted this post we're now reading, my older post was nowhere to be found, but now I see it as if it was a today's post.

I only ask as I was seeking to mark my older post as 'solved'.

    Hello Wguru,

If you click on your post count (13 posts) under your name above, you will see all of your posts.

That post as been moved and redirected to this link below in the "Performance and Maintenance" forum instead. That woud be why it is not showing up in the "General Discussion" forum.

    Hope this helps,

Learn something new every day. I'm afraid to click on your post count Brink!! My PC would probably hang trying to display 12000 some odd. :)

Thank you. App's for any 'duh-ness'. I simply didn't think to read the link, expecting the link to be for where I posted.

Thanks too for apparently marking the post as solved.

Now, I read an older post on marking a post as "solved", but I'm not seeing that post's resolution, ie; go to original post, look above it for the advanced, click that and then ''pre-fix'', and select ''solved'', ref. httpCOLON//wwwDOTsevenforums.com/chillout-room/42443-marking-threads-solved.html

    LOL, no problem. :)

Usually we leave a moved notice for 1 day at the original location of the thread, but the redirect for the old link will always remain in the system to forward to the new location.

Thanks again. I edited that which you last replied, ref. marking posts as solved, but now I'm left to searching for how to move this entire post to the general discussion's forum (not to mention, why the 'system image burn' post was moved from the 'maintenance; forum, ie; backup are listed in Window 7 under "programs>maintenance").

    Aren't new members a pain?

    LOL, not at all.

Only Mods and Admins can move a post. Members cannot. Instead, they can report a post requesting it to be moved by us. We'll be happy to help if we agree that it should be moved.

The "System Image burn" thread was moved since it dealt with a backup issue which is considered maintenance instead of being just a general topic. I had thought that you would get better help in a forum area that deals more with that subject instead.
