Comcast. rarely down. Signed on for 4MB speed, and they have been increasing it ever since. Can't complain. 8/10

-10/10 , I can't tell you who they are or I might get shot. Although they must deserve atleast 1/10 for providing an internet service. I really hate our internet, for about $100 NZ per month for 1mbps, 5gb.

Hi Fastboy that must rate as the WORST value ever --and for a measly 5GB download too -- probably enough for 5 mins of an HD movie at "semi-passable2 resolution.

    Tough Luck there.

    Cheers

I used to have Comcast...but about twice a year I would have packet loss issues of 20% or so for a few weeks on end and dealing with their customer service was an absolute nightmare. Fortunately for me, there is also a small player in my market (Wide Open West, WOW), so I switched over to them. I have 15/1 speeds and am rarely ever done. Been with them for over 5 years now.

As far as a rating...for me...as long as it's not Comcast....it's good enough for me. Regardless of how many channels or what price I pay...it's worth it.

Along the same lines, I once had my website hosted by this company overseas somewhere, don't remember exactly. I had it for about four months and signed on one day and my site was gone and was replaced by a page that said "This site is permanently down, please call 1-XXX-XXX-XXXX for details". I called and it turned out the government had been overthrown and all communications were taken over. == From that point on, I stick with USA companies.

    AOL, need I say more?
Charged full price for 8MB, and only get 4MB of it, after 6PM my download speed is in Bytes/s (Yes, BYTES).
In the day it's about 500KB/s, but sometimes it goes to 100KB/s for no reason.
2/10 - Only because it's never ever down.

I'm back with BT and at present happy, don't have any drop outs and I've just done a test and got just over 4 MB download which is good compared with who I used to be with.

Charter, I hate them. Always down, always slower than what I pay for, etc. Although, lately, they have been great.
