In the Market for a new Laptop

Well my 2005 acer ferrari is at the end of its life it seems. I'm ready to upgrade. So please offer me any ideas of good laptops and deals. Here is what i'm looking in a laptop.

I want a nice easy to carry around laptop, maybe 13"
I want something with more power then a netbook
and some laptops that can play some games, for example when i'm on my 14 hour flight to Narita Airport, gotta pass time some how haha

But besides that that's all I can think of mainly.

The Macbook Pro 13 inch looks great however, 2 main things I don't like is

    A. Price as always
    B. Non-removable Battery (Sorry I don't care how good apple says it is)

Check out some of the Asus laptops. They are affordable and usually built for light gaming. Otherwise, a Dell xps i hear are pretty nice for a bit more money. Just some ideas...

Another thing you might want to consider if you are planning on gaming with it is the screen quality. For example, when i play WoW on my toshiba (only 6 months old), even at 60fps it will sometimes appear choppy due to my screens slow refresh rates.

You are in Texas, therefore I believe you are required by law to own a Dell. (just try getting Toshiba warranty service in Austin) I agree with Bootz, the lesser expensive Toshibas have pretty cheesy graphics.

Check my specs ?!? Acer 4810T series, 14' inch wide screen! Up to 8 hours battery and low voltage processor...Sufficient for many things.

I'd disagree...Toshiba Satellites usually have pretty good graphics, at least in my experience. But that's just my experience, and I haven't experienced everything.

The smaller models usually run pretty cheap, and they get pretty good battery life (especially if you drop in that extended-life battery). Probably the best thing about Toshiba, though, is low maintenance costs. I've never had to repair my Toshiba - it just works.

I looked at that notebook and I really liked what I see, looks sexy and i love the tile style of the keys, makes it look cleaner and probably make it a hella lot easier to clean. This a laptop that i'll consider hard on. I don't see the reason to have a overkill laptop that can all this stuff, that's what I have my desktop for lol. But this laptop hits where I want it to hit, between a netbook and a laptop. But upon looking it ships with Vista, yea I can change it but all that work lol. Anyway thank you so much for the info
