In the Market for a new Laptop Well my 2005 acer ferrari is at the end of its life it seems. I'm ready to upgrade. So please offer me any ideas of good laptops and deals. Here is what i'm looking in a laptop.
I want a nice easy to carry around laptop, maybe 13"
I want something with more power then a netbook
and some laptops that can play some games, for example when i'm on my 14 hour flight to Narita Airport, gotta pass time some how haha
But besides that that's all I can think of mainly.
The Macbook Pro 13 inch looks great however, 2 main things I don't like is
A. Price as always
B. Non-removable Battery (Sorry I don't care how good apple says it is) | My System Specs |

Check out some of the Asus laptops. They are affordable and usually built for light gaming. Otherwise, a Dell xps i hear are pretty nice for a bit more money. Just some ideas...
Another thing you might want to consider if you are planning on gaming with it is the screen quality. For example, when i play WoW on my toshiba (only 6 months old), even at 60fps it will sometimes appear choppy due to my screens slow refresh rates. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Self Build OS Vista Business x64 CPU AMD Phenom II x3 720be @3.15ghz Motherboard Asus M4A77D Memory 2x2GB A-Data DDR2 pc6400 Graphics Card Nvidia EVGA 8800gts (640MB,320bit) Sound Card Creative Sound Blaster Monitor(s) Displays Samsung 226bw Screen Resolution 1680x1050 Keyboard G15 Mouse Razor DeathAdder PSU Rosewill 500watt Case Dynex Cooling Thermaltake V1 Hard Drives Seagate 320gig, WD 80gig Internet Speed 10.0Mb/896Kb |

You are in Texas, therefore I believe you are required by law to own a Dell. (just try getting Toshiba warranty service in Austin) I agree with Bootz, the lesser expensive Toshibas have pretty cheesy graphics. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Drywallguy OS Windows 7 Ultimate x64 CPU AMD Phenom II X4 920 Motherboard Asus M4A79 Deluxe Memory 8GB OCZ PC2 6400 Graphics Card Sapphire Radeon 4830 Sound Card On board Monitor(s) Displays Samsung Syncmaster 2253 & LG Flatron W2242T Screen Resolution 1680 X 1050 Keyboard Microsoft DMK Office Pack Mouse Microsoft Trackball Explorer PSU OCZ StealthXStream 700W Case Rosewill Cooling Stock Hard Drives 5 Western Digital and Seagate mix

I'd disagree...Toshiba Satellites usually have pretty good graphics, at least in my experience. But that's just my experience, and I haven't experienced everything.
The smaller models usually run pretty cheap, and they get pretty good battery life (especially if you drop in that extended-life battery). Probably the best thing about Toshiba, though, is low maintenance costs. I've never had to repair my Toshiba - it just works. | My System Specs | | Computer type Laptop System Manufacturer/Model Number Toshiba A500-ST6621 OS 7 Ultimate x64, Vista Ultimate x64, 7 Pro x64, XP Pro x86, Linux Mint Nadia Cinnamon CPU Intel Core 2 Duo T9600 2.80GHz x64 Motherboard Intel GM45 chipset Memory 8GB Graphics Card ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4650 Sound Card N/A Monitor(s) Displays single 16:9 widescreen (1366x768) Keyboard standard Toshiba backlit keyboard w/ numberpad Hard Drives Hitachi Travelstar 7K750 5400RPM 750GB Internet Speed N/A |

But this laptop hits where I want it to hit, between a netbook and a laptop. But upon looking it ships with Vista, yea I can change it but all that work lol.
