How much space does XP need?

BFK yes i did, but it was SP2 not SP3, isseu i selected 128MB of graphic memory, and enabled 3d accelleration (2d was greyed out for some reason), and i set resolution to 1280*1024 and it full screened (think i may have selected auto resize guest display too)

i know, i will slipstream it when i install it "properly" on my parents pc this is just a test excersise to make sure it works

"To make sure it works" sure it is.

if i wanted a VM version of XP id download the vhd from Microsoft that comes gratis with my Win 7 Ultimate :P im giving it a good going over because as i said, the way it arrived made me suspicious :P

i know, i can tell when im being ribbed seriously cheers for everyones help, still wish i knew why it wont install for real, but nvm

If you had more time you could figure out why.
