Google TV is coming to your living room. Quote: Google is working with Intel, Sony and other partners to develop Google TV, a service aimed at putting the Internet search giant's Web offerings in people's living rooms, the New York Times reported Wednesday.
Google TV will combine the company's Android mobile operating system and applications with television devices made for the OS, including set-top boxes, the paper says.
The TV technology will run on Intel's Atom chips, the report says, and Google will develop a new version of its Chrome browser for the TV project. I wouldn't want Google to start with! I tend to use one of several other search engines even. But they are trying to poke into everything MS already has going it seems and eventually may even get into automotive softwares!

What the? Well what happened to them just being a friendly search enginge that they started with? Seems to me they are victims of their own success , wanting more and more, until eventually they've conquered the world.
Google turning into Microsoft maybe?

In retrospect, "yes, now you can keep the rear passengers in your mini van entertained with the new Google tv displays... watch Google on the road!" Instead of MSN channels you now have "watch the Google channel!"
"hey Joe did you see that new Google mobile phone with a live tv feed?" "introducing the new Google voice activated dish washer!" and who knows what else. | My System Specs | | OS Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit, MS XP Mode, VBox, VMLite Workstation, VM Player 4.0 CPU AMD Phenom II X4 Deneb 3.4 Motherboard Gigabyte 790XTA-UD4 Memory Mushkin Enhanced DDR3 1600 8gb 1.5v-1.7v Graphics Card MSI Radeon 5750 1gb Sound Card Creative Labs X-Fi XtremeGamer Monitor(s) Displays 2 x Acer P191W 19" widesscreen Screen Resolution 1440x900 native Keyboard Microsoft Recusa Razor Mouse MS Trackball Explorer PSU Corsair 750TX Case Antec 900-2 - SSD compatible Cooling Zalman CNPS9900A Hard Drives WD Black Edition 1tb Sata 6.0 = 2
