Back when SF was first set up and I was playing with WYSIWYG it was disclosed to me that it's just goofie and doesn't work as it should on this version of vBullitin.

Edit: both ways brought the same result.
I have no problem with enter key. My problem is with consecutive spaces and tabs.

    OK chaps.
Now if I write gibbergabbish and then hit the space key 3 times then I expect to get three spaces before gabbishgibber appears. Here goes

    gibbergabbish gabbishgibber

And as you see, three has been reduced to one.

The only way I've ever found on these PHP BBS systems is to use the CODE tag...

    Code:
    Gibberish gibberisher
But that's as close as I've ever gotten. It's actually a browser thing because HTML is supposed to automatically remove double spaces... and what a pain that's been.

You mean by setting the text color to white?

Black text White Text More black text.

(hint... highlight it to see it...)

    Nice trick... noted for future....

Whew! Thanks Lee. I've honestly never heard of the space bar refered to "white space" before.

No, achieving spaces between words when posting. You have to use.....dots. The spacebar will only give you a single spacing, no matter how many time you press it.
