Ya but who has all 64 bit software running on their 64 bit systems ????
Yes we need a 64-bit only forum section
No, its fun to confuse the two.
There is just no need.
Ya but who has all 64 bit software running on their 64 bit systems ????
at the moment. i do..
the few programs i dont have yet in 64-bit only, i am looking for now. the company s that have not or will not release a 64-bit version of their software will not get my business.
.
and i am only about 5 programs short of my goal.
i think alot of X64 users would just haunt the X64 forum and all the X86 users would lose out on the knowledge and experience that those users have to offer, and vice versa of course
i dont think that will happen, the people who solve problems go where they are needed. it the way they are. helpers help period.

considering that most systems today are being manufactured at 64bit, I think it's a moot point that what we are discussing eventually will be the understood norm that you are referring to 64 bit.
If there is any question as to the version of a poster, you can see that in the system specs of the poster and most of us have it under our avatars. I see no need to separate the two versions.
you've just proved exactly what we are saying! how can us 64 bit users be able to answer 32 bit peoples questions unless the problems are the same? after all, when i suggest a fix, i tend to test it on my own system first to make sure it will work, and it works on both 64 and 32 bit...
