im really quite lucky stuck on this little rock they call the ''UK'', the worst Mother Nature has for us is a bit of ''black ice''

    poor people...
you say that, but there was a quake here 2 years ago. I remember I was in bed and felt it for a short time.

In 2001 there was a big one in Bargoed, South Wales, UK of 5.4. Thats big for us in Wales. I felt it 15 miles away in Cardiff it woke me up!

Oh, and the cracks are now beginning to show in some properties in Cardiff. I live in a Block of flats and all the flats now have cracks in them...

Interesting read. How valid the assumptions are, I haven't a clue. I do know that there is nothing man can do about it except help the victims recover.

    Big aftershocks!

An aftershock measuring 6.1 on the Richter scale struck late Wednesday following two aftershocks measuring 6.0 and 5.9 respectively earlier in the day.

By them self, these would be considered major quakes.

Wow! My wife has relatives in that part of Cuba. I hope all is well with them. We have no way of contacting them to find out.
