My dad only has like 5GB of music that he doesn't want to extend too much, about 1GB of "jokes" he receive by e-mail... he really doesn't need much so that's why I don't buy anything bigger. Reliability-wise, you're right but if it fails, it's not a big deal... it was cheap and you can easily change it.

This sounds a great rig bit I think one of the most important things in a system is the display.
It's where you interact with the computer.
Could you not get a larger screen?
