no horse fans? anywhere here? cant imagine not with the diversity this board has.

Post positions to be drawn live here noon eastern time. HRTV to carry the draw. Dont know of any live internet feeds atm.

This should prove to be a wide open field, great wagering odds, and exciting race. No big superhorse this year, maybe one will rise to that status with this race.

Well i said that this year's race would be wide open.... kept telling ppl to bet longshots... and what do ya know. Second biggest longshot to ever win the Kentucky Derby. And, largest margin of victory since 1946, officially 6 3/4 lengths.

Mine That Bird - Winner 50.6 to 1 odds

Wow! Just saw the replay of that. Man that was like a movie, from last to way ahead to win. He was shot out of a cannon. What a instant classic. Cool so cool.

yea, he had a horrible break outta the gate and the rest of the field just bunched up there in front of him and he just settled in the back, chilled out for half the race, then made a HUGE move. That was atleast a 3.5 or 4 furlong continuous move. Made the rest of the horses look like they were pulling plows behind them in the mud.
