Windows 7 - 1366x768 suddenly unavailable on my office PC :(

Hi folks!

My Office PC has that weird 18.5" LCD monitors with that awkward 1366x768 resolution.

It was working fine a couple of weeks back but one morning I suddenly find that I am stuck with every resolution on the planet EXCEPT 1366x768 which is such an eyesore!

God, I hate Intel GMA!!!

For the past week I spent all my free time trying to get it back as the IT guy at my workplace is useless.

I found Powerstrip, but its not free, and I tried installing the monitor drivers and re-installing graphics drivers, then cleaning Temp files, then cleaning registry and then again re-installing graphics drivers, but it just dosen't come back!

Phew! Help please!!

P.S: I'm on Windows XP SP2 btw! Sorry forgot to mention that! That's why I decided to post it here!

Its purely a VGA driver problem. Try installing the latest drivers for your Intel GMA. I recently got one from WU which gave me the TV Option wizard. I use the same VGA in my Laptop.

But I've been there and done that!

Just to be sure, I'll try to let windows get drivers from windows updates, though I haven't seen that update feature work properly in XP.
