Technet - is it worth renewing this year

My subscription runs out at the end of June this year and I was wondering if it is worth renewing.
The only thing I want would be Windows Home Server V2 if became RTM before June next year.
Does anyone know of any new releases etc that might make it worthwhile

Windows Server 2008 R2 is downloadable now to 'play' with it. Have you done that?

Is WHS V1 on TechNet right now?

I remember that it was NOT in the MSDN downloads (when I had that sub) because of the free subscription service that came with it. If V1 is not on TechNet right now there is a good chance that V2 will not be for the same reason.

@jaycee, I have already downloaded that complete with keys.
@fseal WHS V1 is on Technet now with one key only

I'd renew just to be certain...of course it is $249...so not a give away. But for what you get...it's so worth it.

I believe that TechNet is worth every penny you pay for it. Where else can you download new and old products, Os's, applications, priority support in forums .. etc?

It's your choice of course, but none one of us will know when a new product is out of Beta and ready for prime time (unless you beta test it)

Unfortunately in Australia the renewal subscription is $365AU, and I cannot find any Coupons

    kodi,

The last time I logged into my technet acct & went to manage my subscription, it had a place to click on a $100 discount if I re-newed now. Now mine is renewed until 6/30/2011

I'm with Jaycee. I bought mine 8 August 2009 (2 days after Win 7 dropped) and thus far, I have gotten 7 Windows 7 Ultimate installs, 1 WHS server install, and (now) 4 Office Professional Plus 2010 installs (plus Visio Professional 2010 and Project Professional 2010 installs).

The amount of money that I have saved in *just* those installs alone means I will be renewing again, no ifs, ands, nor buts.
