    A Little Help For Fred

"FRED Collett is a true blue Aussie war hero. But the Federal Government has turned its back on the 100 year old WWII digger in his moment of need.

He escaped a POW camp by rowing a boat "full of bullet holes" from Mainland Greece to the island of Crete in April 1941 to warn of Germany's advance.

But he has been denied compensation as a POW, because the Federal Court in Australia has ruled he was never "interned'' by the Germans.

While his fellow soldiers, who served out the war in a POW camp in Austria, will get a $25,000 pay cheque - Mr Collett who went on to fight the good fight gets nothing...."
