    Thank you for the offer. One neighbor who is also a friend takes care of it. And then there are all the service people (gardner, pest control, etc.) who are always around. Plus we live in a gated community with patrolling crime watch. They keep an eye on it too.

    I'm in Inverness. Along with Tampa, I get to Brooksville quite a bit. Our bass player lives in Brooksville.

    I'll be in Tampa today as I have to make a "deposit" at Sam Ash Music :)

    I've spent time in Germany in the late 50's in the US Air Force at Hahn AB.

    You are probably the closest from where I am which is near the Hernando County Airport in Spring Hill.

    whs, yes I'm just north on US41 from the airport. I live near Ft Cooper State Park on the south side of Inverness (between Inverness and Floral City).

    If you like traditional country music, I'm in the staff band at Catfish Johnny's Restaurant in Lake Panasoffkee and we have a weekly Tuesday afternoon show. Come up and visit with us. He has a fish fry lunch that starts at 10:30am and the music is Noon to 3PM. We start the first Tuesday in November and go to the last Tuesday in April.

    Latest projection show it crossing Southern Florida and the Keys on Friday and going into New Orleans/Mobile area on Sunday. Maybe hit 50-55mph winds but all that could change. Will make a mess on the Gulf Coast with the oil.

    Here is a site that has been fairly accurate with the big picture.

    HPC Medium-Range Forecasts (Days 3-7)

    I use the 3-7 Day forecast. On the 3 day map it shows the Low in the middle of the gulf and then on shore on day 4. They don't do storms, just weather patterns.

    Looks like Fort Myers (where my daughter lives with her mother) is still in Tropical Storm zone.
