I have to redo XP... I had a PC that my wife and I used a few years ago. At the time, it was the only PC in the house, so I had to make absolutely sure that it stayed virus free--basically, no surfing to the "seedy" sites. I had to obsess over the cleanliness of that PC like a hypochondriac.

I have an XP PC now in my garage. It's loaded with a few apps and a automobile troubleshooting program. I picked up a fake antivirus one day while I was surfing "seedy" sites... That's my "frankenstein" PC, meaning I'm always trying something new on this PC just to see if it would work. I eneded up swapping hard drives and reinstalling XP.

I try out everything at least once or twice. So I get viri and that kinda cr>p everyday. Over the last few weeks I have had:

Virus 6
Trojans 10
Riskware 36
And 90 intrusions all told.

I very rarely have to re-install as I find that after testing all the antivirus out there except NOD 32 I found that the only one that keeps me safe is ? No point in saying as too many people want to knock them down. If you want the answer PM me.

The other factor in this is that I get it free with my bank account. And its commercial for 3 computers. Saving me a whopping 75 a year...

Can you get viruses using Webmail?
Hi, I was wondering if it is possible to get viruses just by opening an email in webmail (such as Yahoo Mail or GMail), or if you would have to download the attachments. I was under the impression that if there were any viruses in your webmail account, they couldn't harm your computer unless...

Viruses and Spyware
Last night my laptop was sitting idle for a few hours. I had Word 2010 minimized but didn't have any documents opened in Word. When I went to shut down my PC, I closed out Word and a document from 2 days ago was opened but minimized. Is it possible for malware to open/minimize documents? No one...

Stubborn Viruses
I've been trying real hard to get rid of a virus, or should I say a couple. I've manged to find and remove some viruses using Forefron Client Security, Spyware Doctor with Anti-Virus, and Malwarebytes, Ad-Aware has been used to. Full scans. I've been at it for multiple days but my laptop still...

Most Viruses ever seen?
I'm just curious, what's the most viruses/malware anyone has ever seen on a PC? The most I ever saw was about a year ago cleaning up a laptop from my wife's brother that he let the kids use for about 1 1/2 years until it would barely run. I used AVG and it deleted 437 viruses/malware items...

Where can i get different viruses?
Dear SF. I am going to make a big Anti Virus test soon, which will be done on my old desktop. The test will be testing which AV removes the most of the viruses, and which AV that does it the best. AV's like Morro, Norton, Kaspersky, IObit, Panda and AVG will be included in the test. So...
