I've used XP 2-3 years and facing BSOD only 2 or 3 times. I admit in terms on performance,XP can't withstand heavyworks. But it rarely have issues with compatibility . me myself also wondering why I didn't migrated to vista | My System Specs |

I never understood the hype about Vista. I used it since day one (literally - Febr. 1, 2007) and never had any problems that I could not manage. Not a single BSOD in all these years and I am still running 3 Vistas. My wife even refuses to use Windows 7. She has never had a single problem - maybe because she does not use anything exotic. I think all you have to do with Vista is to use it straight forward and stay away from tweaks and "optimizations". | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number HP, Dell, Gateway, Toshiba - 4 laptops and 2 desktops OS Vista, Windows7, Mint Mate, Zorin, Windows 8 CPU from 1.6GHz Duo to i7 Monitor(s) Displays 2x HP w2207 Keyboard with trackball - no mices Mouse Trackball mice Hard Drives 5x HDD, 7x SSD, 12x Externals Internet Speed DSL 6000 |
