Today I recovered the Office Volume license from my clients locked out system.
For those who may have a similar issue in future have a look at Produkey, which is a freeware portable tool which runs from a USB drive and recovers the keys, as a standard user, without invoking the UAC.
As it also recovers the OS key it may be useful for those occasions when the last administrative account is deleted and the key is required for a re-install.
Some of their tools, although useful, seam to somehow pose a major security risk.

A lot of tools uses by IT professionals could be used for purposes other than the intended one - that does not make them a risk in themselves. in this case the other alternative was to re-licence the software, which for a charity, in these hard fiscal times, is not a viable option. :)
NirSoft supply a great number of freeware tools ,which has Barman so rightly stated are used daily by a few IT proffesionals and are actually highly regarded in that respect
