You can easily see, walking around in Germany today, that the Football World Cup is going on. Every second house has different flags and banners hanging from windows and chimneys, every second car has flags taped on the roof or placed on the windows.

A good example is our German- Italian neighbor couple. Both the car and the windows of the apartment are showing which two teams they are supporting:

It's the same here in Britain, the petrol companies will make mega bucks from the reduced Miles Per Gallon by having flags on the roof.

That is my reason for not sporting a couple of good old Saint Georges on my car.

I would also put on North Korean flags but somehow I think that may cause problems .

I miss that period in the old homeland. Of course all flags are Green and Yellow then...

It's really multicultural here, because of the great amount of immigrants from allover the globe. I've seen surprisingly many Italian, Spanish, Turkish, and Serbian flags, among others.

Today, I hit 3000 subscribed threads.

Not sure whether to party over a milestone, or make a solemn vow to start deleting old threads.

In all seriousness, I subscribe to every thread I post in by default, plus whatever others interest me. I don't delete them, because I like to have notification if a noob bumps an old thread, that would otherwise get overlooked.
