On that note are you a firm believer in this nature over nurture thing or vice versa? By that definition you can only A: blame the child or B blame parents/God/Natural selection
Of course the way things have been going with me jinxing the football this might as well be my fault too.
Don't get me wrong, I'm as much against this sort of thing too but I fear it's filling a gap.
It used to be that you grew up with a strong religion and ethical code which resisted these sorts of things (but also has many many many downsides which I won't winge about now). Now a days with so many people growing up without religion and not neccesairily a strong set of morals which allows the media to move your opinions on what you 'should' look like much more easily.
That's just my theory but it does seam to fit.
