    Time to give thanks

A well trained soldier. Turn up your sound system, sit back and listen.
National Rifle Association - Give Thanks

As we approach Memorial day let's pause and give thanks to all those who have and are serving in the Armed Forces who have put their life on the line for FREEDOM.

Technically, Memorial Day is a day to remember those that DIED for our country. While it certainly is OK to thank a soldier for their service anytime, Veteran's Day is the day when Veteran's are thanked for their service.

    Thats my MOM!! Just kidding

Well, the name is spelled differently (Thorson instead of Thorsen) but that happens a lot. Also that would be her last name. I have seen my name as a last name, but never as a first name. (Thorsen is my first name)

    Edit: useless info removed

I while being a geek and not joining services for our country do my part to support the troops and being an intellegent person have put my talents to good use in a business environment that saves lives.

I know so many have died for this country and continue to do so to keep our land free and safe. I definitely feel its better there than here, but no one wants war.

You are spot on. But every day I thank vets and members currently serving for their service.

On Saturday, I will go to the Florida National Cemetery and place flags on the graves of my friends and comrades. Then I will travel to St Augustine to put flags on my son's grave as well as more comrades who are buried there.

As we say in veteran circles, "All gave some; some gave all".

    Carl,
You couldn't have said it better...."As we say in veteran circles, "All gave some; some gave all"
Say "Thank you from the Wolfe's" at your son's grave for us. We gave some but he gave all!
