Is it me or does Brimful of Asha use Lou Reeds riff. You know the one on Sweet Jane and various other of his songs:) Very nice though.
I'm hoping to be proved wrong but I suspect Mike Skinner (The Streets) has run out of steam. His latest releases don't seem up to par.
Nick Drake is always welcome. I wonder where he would have gone musically if he hadn't died so young? I recall I used to fancy his sister as a kid, she was in some sci fi tv show at the time

John Martyn wrote this as a requiem to Nick Drake. They were great mates apparently and both members of the Mumblers Club. No one seems to sing like this at the moment.
I wonder who copied who?
I think I'll have a look for some modern mumblers
