maybe we should host all these. Our Banks are bust so no court case decision would EVER get even a single eurocent -- all we could do is send them back home with shiploads of stinking fish.
I think currently even Zimbabwe has more money -- actually that could also be an interesting country to host these in -- nobody would even THINK of attempting a court case there -- in any case certain Politicians like shopping in Harrods etc etc.
P2P is here to stay in one form or another -- all this will do is drive it underground.
At least with "Open Torrents" there's a certain bit of safety in that dubious torrents can be publicised.
In the final analysis there's always the old fashioned "Sneaker net".
You have something -- encrypt it with a DES key and email it . I receive it decrypt it and send it on.
Also even the Federal Bureau of Incompetants (FBI) with their HUGE resources can't decrypt something that the old WWII spies knew about -- use a 1-time pad.
P2P might get more fiddly "but it ain't goin to disappear").
And to these courts "Go and make a sexual move with a Duck".
Incidentally to those who are interested in the 1-time pad encryption method
here's the WIKI explanation. You can follow further links .
One-time pad - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
It really IS unbreakable unless the recipient has the One time pad -- this can easily be transmitted to the proper receiver by relatively untraceable methods such as "In the Pub", by Snail mail etc etc.
