Thinking about a new phone
I'm entering college end of August and I guess you can call me a "deprived child". Not in every sense, just that for the last 2 years and actually 95% of the time I've owned a cell phone, I've had no texting and no data plan.
Anyways, I'm hoping to score a job and I have some money saved up, so I want to ask my dad to take me off our family plan. I'm thinking of switching to Sprint since they're a lot more reasonable with their pricing. Our contract ends July 26th, but I don't want to wait since removing a line wouldn't cost anything. Currently, it's $95 a month for 700 minutes and 4 lines (AT&T). I was happy when they were Cingular but now they're like the Verizon of a few years ago.
Specifically, I'm thinking of going with a plan that includes 500 minutes and unlimited text/data for $60/month. And on top of that, mobile to mobile on any network is free, so I'd end up with extra minutes. I really like the Samsung Moment, since it's an Android phone. Honestly, it's not the most visually appealing phone but it's cheap and it's solid. Plus I have big fingers so the keyboard is a plus. Anyone have experience with this phone or with Sprint?
