    Spelling lessons needed...apparently


    So this weekend I decided to empty out the digi cam saw this picture I captured about 1 1/2 months ago.

    Do they teach spelling nowadays?

    That does not amaze me at all. As to a survey they did in New Jersey last year, 35% of the 8th graders can neither read nor write - but I guess they can flip burgers.

    I always give them more than enough money to see if they can do it their head or need the computer to figure it out.
    They aren't even teaching them the 3 R's
