Where Has The Time Gone Its my anniversary; 1 year as a member of this Forum. One year ago, I purchased Windows 7 (the discounted pre order, sale). I remember I could not wait until October to get my DVD and begin to use my new OS. Well, a bit of a newbie, and inexperienced, I came to this forum to ask for help. Well, 2 great members, Zigzag (Ken) and Zrtom (I guess Tom) gave me so much help. In fact, as I installed in October,I thought that they were on each side of me giving advice. I will never forget them for that. So I say thanks to those great guys. | My System Specs |

You can say that again Smarty, I joined the month after you. It was launch day though before I really started using Windows 7 although I'd tried the beta for a short time.
Rich it doesn't seem like a year since you arrived you seem to have been part of the family for always, I was like you and pre-ordered it in June and it was agony waiting for the official delivery, especially when we suddenly found ourselves in the middle of a postal strike that coincided with the launch.
Luckily all turned out well and we have all these great people helping us with this great OS. | My System Specs | | Computer type PC/Desktop System Manufacturer/Model Number Zoostorm Desktop/ Asus K55A Notebook PC OS Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 32 bit/Windows 8 64bit CPU Intel Core 2 Duo E4600 @ 2400 MHz/Intel B820,1.7GHz Motherboard Foxconn 45CMX/45GMX/45CMX-K/Asus Memory 2048 MB (2 x 1024 DDR2-SDRAM)/8GB 2 x 4GB DDR3 Graphics Card Intel Corp 82945G Integrated Graphics Controller/Intel Sound Card Onboard Realtek/Onboard Monitor(s) Displays Hanns.G HH221 22" inches Widescreen/Asus 15.6 Screen Resolution 1920 x 1080/1366 x 768 Keyboard Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000 (UK)/Inbuilt Mouse Microsoft Optical Wheel Mouse/Touchpad Hard Drives ExcelStor (250GB)/Asus Internet Speed Just under 4MB download it's ADSL. Thanks to all. I should be giving the thanks. First, the two that I mentioned helped me with the installation of Windows 7. Now, each and everyone of you teaches me with your insightful posts.

I came to this forum (was it last January?) with a few questions, back before even the beta. I was not intending at all to switch over to seven for a while. I had just installed Vista and was anticipating a similar launch for seven, and was happy with what I already had.
Then I somehow got hooked, and now its all over.
Good to have you here Rich. Learning and helping (usually at the same time ) is what this forum is all about.
