It took me almost a month to figure out the rep and badge theme.
So that is why I kept on you about getting out of the joke post and get into posts where you know and can help and get a thank your for your help or a rep.
    Now get going!
Find areas that you are knowledgeable in and help those who are in need.
The badges and reps will follow.

Rep and badges are great, but not the biggest benefit. You will be shocked, just like I was, help in an area that you feel that you have expertise and you will find out you will learn so much more.

I understand Howling. But to be honest..im not even here for that. When i 1st signed up...i signed up to "Learn" about Windows 7 and other computer related problems that i may not know. If i ever get to 50,000 posts...and have zero rep...i wouldnt care. As long as when i sign off every night...i learned something new from other peoples problems in different threads.

But....thats not to say i wont help people. If i see a thread...where someone asks something that i know the answer to...oh yea...im gonna help em out. But besides that...i dont really care what section im in...in terms of if i recieve badges or reps or whatever. If they come. They come. if not....im still 100% good. Im learning everyday thats how i know im doing something right. :)

DJROD, keep learning, and in time you will be helping people with what you learned. Problems tend to come up over and over again, so just out for the ones you have learned the answer to.
