The first computer I saw was in 1962 or thereabouts and it was in an air conditioned room containing about fifteen full height grey steel cabinets with twin tapes spinning at the front. This was in London in the headquarters of the then British Railways who I worked for and it was attempting to work out the new railways timetables for all the London stations. A truly mammoth task that usually took about 100 staff to accomplish accurately. I don't thing the computer succeeded!

We're approaching 50% ancient and really really old and nearly 70% over 27.
When I first joined I imagined I'd be one of a handful of older people amongst a horde of geek kids who knew more at 14 than I could ever know.
Actually the last part of that is still probably true but they ain't a horde they're a handful:)

Thinking about it some of us senior citizens can be little eccentric or even weird!
