We live in two places, in suburb Gohlis Nord in city of Leipzig. Leipzig has about 520,000 inhabitants, our suburb a few thousand. I could show some depressing pics where you can still, 20 years after the change and united Germany, see results of the decadence of communistic DDR's architecture, but decided not to.

Here's the pride of our city, The City Opera, and under it the Gewandhaus, concert hall, home of the philharmonics. Those round lighthouses are air vents of the underlying garage:

About 500 km (325 miles) from Leipzig is the city of Solingen and our village there, Gräfrath. Solingen has 160,000 inhabitants, our historical village only about 600:

Well my Hometown of Cromer is a quaint little english seaside town, still very much stuck in Victorian times. We have the Largest coastal carnival in the country here every year in the 3rd week of August.

Here are a few pictures of the Pier and such.

The last one is of the participants in the "Boxing day Dip" where basically, the morning after Christmas, We all go swimming in the North Sea first thing in the morning. It is bloody freezing!

But in all seriousness, the 2nd picture is actually a picture of where I live. This picture was taken in Stockholm, Sweden about 6 months ago, and I am the one on the left .

My hometown was hit by a tornado the year after we moved to California.
So we moved from a town that was wiped out to a state where there are numerous earthquakes.
Here is a picture of where I used to work and Johnny cash made a hit tune.

Small town, Evansville Wisconsin.
Had to throw in the last pic of the birdseye view from the 1800's. Fun to see some of the stuff that is still around.

P.S.: The train Depot is now a place to go get drunk, lol.
