We live in two places, in suburb Gohlis Nord in city of Leipzig. Leipzig has about 520,000 inhabitants, our suburb a few thousand. I could show some depressing pics where you can still, 20 years after the change and united Germany, see results of the decadence of communistic DDR's architecture, but decided not to.

About 500 km (325 miles) from Leipzig is the city of Solingen and our village there, Gräfrath. Solingen has 160,000 inhabitants, our historical village only about 600:
