    Joan,

    Not sure if I've related this true story before but


    my late uncle on his driving test, whilst performing a three point turn managed to hook a fence with his rear bumper, and drove off unaware that he had an addition to the car, until informed by the examiner to pull over and remove it, By the way my uncle failed that test

    Part of that was filmed in Lincoln Cathedral - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (scroll down to In popular culture, Film). It's only about an hours drive from Dwarf's abode. :)

    No I hadn't heard that Nigel, and I'm not surprised he failed that one

    It should be pointed out that, whilst it is called a 3-point turn, it doesn't mean that you have to complete the manoeuvre in 3 steps. You can take as many as you need (within reason), just so long as you carry it out with care and attention and don't clip the kerb.

    I never had any problems with that part of driving, I always did it in 3 points as well.
