Last time I had chicken at my office canteen. Thats all I can remember. I have been eating home made food only since last 1 month. I m unsure what really caused the allergy.
Did doctor put you on Benadryl(Diphenhydramine)?
Nope. BTW, I thought Benadryl was a cough syrup.

Used for allergies. Comes in capsule, liquid or tablet form.
Some cough syrups will contain expectorants or cough suppressants along with benadryl.

Sounds like hives along with the allergies. Benadryl should help along with some Calimine lotion for those red spots.. Hope it clears up soon. It's what they gave us when we were fighting brush fires in L.A. county and the burn went through posion Oak very unpleasant. Best wishes. If it gets really bad they can also give it as a injection. That's what we got didn't set well with me made me feel seasick like but most people have no adverse reactions. Fabe

Dinesh, I am sure sorry to hear this. It sounds like a reaction to a food allergy. Recover quickly!

Benadryl is an old, tried and true antihistamine. It has been in use for at least 62 years that I know of. Here in the US, it can be purchased over the counter and we keep some on hand all of the time.
