Yes friend, 7/4 of 50% is 87.5% :). The relevance, I have to admit, escapes me.
To show you the error in your reasoning, answer for me please two questions:
- If 70% represents a 175% increase from 40% in your world, what would a 100% increase from 40% be?
- If you earn £40 an hour and get a 75% pay rise, what would you expect to be paid now?
Take my word for it - if you have 40 of anything and increase them by 175%, you'll now have 110 of them
a 175% INCREASE on the original 40 you do TOO add back to the original
if you increase 40 by 50%, are you saying you only have 20? Highly unlikely, you end up with 60. (40 + (.50 * 40)) = 60
You say you are 18? Did you skip your math classes?
Sweet god its about freaking time, honestly I feel guilty leaving that thing on all day but when it hits the 40's you have no choice but to, and big air conditioners are expensive as is you my as well donate an organ to get one.
Based on all the mathematical equations here, I have determined that it would indeed be...cool
