Sudden Blue Screen of Death?

Hi after installing outlook emails and updating the emails, I suddenly had a blue screen of death. How do I read the .dmp files and/or is there another way that I can check what caused this because it really cant keep happening.

It has never happened before and might be due to to the outlook program i installed.

All advice greatly appreciated!

There were no .dmp files.. navigate to c:/windows/minidump and zip up the .dmp files and attach it to your next post..

OK Enclosed is my zipped up docs as required from the BSOD guidelines.

My specs:

Panasonic Toughbook, (bought in Japan with Japanese keyboard but I wiped the OS and put in Windows 7 and Linux Ubuntu) Laptop has worked 99.9% well but this lastest BSOD scares me since I really need this laptop to work....

MS Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit
Intel Core 2 Duo CPU U9400 @ 1.40HGz, 2.0GB RAM, Mobile Intel 4 Series Express Chipset Family

Of note, photoshop has issues - message reads "Photoshop has encountered a problem with the display driver, and has temporarily disabled GPU enhancements. Check the video card manufacturer's website for the latest software"

So in short I think the reason for BSOD is the display driver but maybe someone can let me know?

THANKS for all help with this.

OK although I have been denied access to this folder, (despite seeming to have full access and ownership priviledges) I think I have been able to zip up the only .dmp file there is....

Id be VERY grateful if someone could be so kind to have a look? Thanks

I'm not sure what to say about your BSODs. In my opinion, it's not something too serious (Based on what you've described and what I saw from the DMP analysis). The stop code 8E with exception code c000005 make me think that this can indicates that a memory access violation occurred.
Quote:
STOP 0x0000008E: KERNEL_MODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED

Usual causes: Insufficient disk space, Device driver, Video card, BIOS, Breakpoint in startup without having a debugger attached, Hardware incompatibility, Faulty system service, 3rd party remote control, Memory
Make sure you have enough disk space. Besides that, Let's test your Ram: Download a copy of Memtest86 and burn the ISO to a CD using Iso Recorder or another ISO burning program. Boot from the CD, and leave it running for at least 5 or 6 passes.

What antivirus are you using?

Please uninstall Avast and try MSE, which is known for BSODs free. You can install Avast later if that's not the cause.
