Random, constant and regular BSOD (1 Year)

My system keep rebooting and giving me BSod for almost a year now what I thought at first was windows 7 problem actually turns out to be either my mobo or the ram. I have run many tests and even revert back to Xp but it is still the same and it happens really randomly. Here's a DMP file after I reverted back to windows 7hope you guys can help me figure out this problem :cry:

You must provide the information as stipulated above. Although you did supply the dump report, it is corrupt and I cannot read it.

It's still corrupt, please double check to see if you are having correct minidump setting:
Windows 7:
Go to Start and type in "sysdm.cpl" (without the quotes) and press Enter
Click on the Advanced tab
Click on the Startup and Recovery Settings button
Ensure that "Automatically restart" is unchecked
Under the Write Debugging Information header select "Small memory dump (64 kB)" in the dropdown box
Ensure that the Small Dump Directory is listed as "%systemroot%\Minidump" (without the quotes)
Click OK twice to exit the dialogs, then reboot for the changes to take effect.

How to Find Drivers
search Google for the name of the driver

ttran I have done what you asked and richc46 thankx for analyzing my problem but you see what you have said is the same thing before I reformatted my PC and the thing is one of my ram slot isn't working, I have 2 2GB DDR3 ram which I tested one by one and both rams seem to give me the same BSOD so my main suspect is the mobo and I am not quite sure whether is the BIOS since I have updated it and recently reset the BIOS too.I have run memtest86 before for just about 2 tests and there all passed I know it's not enough but it's gonna give me an error in the end and not a specific error. I seen from other threads that I can increase the voltage of my ram trough the BIOS which I did before but then after a month I had the same BSOD and I think it fried one my ram slots too but now I am running 2 rams again I have overclocked it's voltage again so far no problem but I know my mobo won't last long at this rate I'll wait for the next BSOD and I will post it again

Ok my PC just crashed again even after overcloaking the ram trough BIOS but the good newss is that when I ran the the program that checks my DMP file it worked and the report thing gave me a full report and wasn't like last time hope you guys can at least identify this problem so I can solve it. Thankx

BIOS was mentioned in both reports and is suspect in your mind, this appears to be a very likely cause of the BSOD's. You have. also, mentioned several potential hardware problems these areas must be corrected before you can hope to have a computer with satisfactory performance.

The culmative message given by all 3 reports that you have submitted lean toward Hardware. Drivers must, always be considered in conjuction with hardware problems.

After performing all of the above, post back with any new BSOD reports, or indicate that the attempted repairs were successful.

Please remember that several attempts may be required before we can solve your BSOD problem. These reports are not definitive but merely point the way to a solution. Your post in link number 7, seems to indicate that a more definitive answer is required, your dumps are not giving definitive answers but rather general indications of hardware problems. To me it seems like RAM and/or BIOS. I really cannot be more specific.

Thankx for your help but even if it was the drivers fault then why did I have the same BSOD on Windows Xp and I have reformatted my PC over 5times with diferent OS and settings but the report is always almost the same. The mobo link you link to me is for a different mobo or can I use it with my current one? How do I update those drivers which you said are outdated, the bios update link doesn't seem to have any. Does the BIOS means the motherboard itself or the software that is in it? and if it spoil how do I repair it? So do I send my mobo back or is it fixable?

For memtest then I don't think I would have any luck since I don't really have a good stick or maybe it's my mobo and my sticks are alright. So I know won't get an answer if I use memsahib. Anyway my BSOD my be random but I have noticed a small pattern even before reformating my PC several times but I just couldn't really be sure. It seems that every time I on my PC it gives me a BSOD within 20 to 30 minutes or so but after rebooting my PC it doesn't give me any BSOD till the nest time I boot my PC, so as you guesses I had another BSOD again here it is.

The next step is up to you. If you are saying that either the MOBO is bad or the ram, you must get that fixed before anything else could be done. I suggest that you post another thread asking for help in buying a good MOBO, since I am not familiar with any bargains or good MOBOs that would interest you.

Thankx but before I can do anything I need to know the cause of it, whether is the ram or mobo, I hope is the ram. So I can replace or send a specific part. my mobo and the ram are about the same price so I really need to make sure it's the ram or the ombo that is causing the problem before making a move, Maybe my latest DMP file holds more info?

It won't. It's just a symptom of an underlying problem.

Unfortunately it will not help pinpoint the difference between a faulty mobo or module.

Using some of the trouble shooting methodolgy in the Memtest link provided above may help narrow down the culprit quicker.

When you say one of the slots 'doesn't work anymore' - do you mean that the machine fails to POST with a single module in that slot, or that with both sticks installed, only one module (2GB) is detected?

If it's the former, most motherboards have certain dimm slots which you cannot boot from, hence the 'not POSTing or not working'

If it's the latter, then it does sound like you have a dead dimm slot and thus, a faulty motherboard.

Without knowing your actual specs, it is hard to recommend which settings to use just in a case this is merely a incorrect settings issue.

I wouldn't recommend overvolting the RAM for an extended period of time either - just in case there is actually nothing wrong with your ram. By overvolting, you may end having to replace both the mobo and RAM

thankx smarteyeball, yes when I say it doesn't work anymore it means my PC won't even boot and the monitor won't get any signal from my PC, I have 4 ram slots, today I have tested each and every one of them with both rams. my 1st and third ram slots are confirm dead but before the second and forth slots were working, but after placing my rams at those working slots, my PC din't boot up and I found out that the second slot was also dead leaving me with only one ram slot left but don't worry since now it is confirmed is my mobo's fault I can buy a new mobo while I send this one back. I jsut hope my ram doesn't have problem with all the previous testing of my PC. Thankx agn
