BSOD major PC noob here?

I had my buddy build me a PC a few months back and lately it has been getting BSOD a lot. Any help would greatly be appreciated. I know next to nothing about PC's, it took me a few weeks to even identify what a "bluer screen of death" was.

System specs.

Rockers international team

Rockers 7 edition

AMD Phenom II x4 955 processor 3.67ghz

RAM 8.00gb

First, please remove Avast, with this tool: http://files.avast.com/files/eng/aswclear5.exe

Also remove Comodo firewall.

Replace Avast with MSE: http://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials

Replace Comodo by resetting the Windows Firewall. Open an elevated command prompt and enter netsh firewall reset.

Uninstall Nero, as it appears to be using SPTD. Then remove SPTD with this utility: http://www.duplexsecure.com/download/SPTDinst-v172-x64.exe
