Hello notinf, welcome to Windows 7 Forums!

Few outside of MS uber geeks are able to decipher dump logs. You will get better help here at the forums being real specific about the crash; start with the machine specifications, be specific; then details about the crash.

As an added incentive - if you fill in all the relevant information in your user Control Panel (here on the board) with your system information, it would go a long way to giving us ideas for hardware to troubleshoot

I would have to agree with johngalt. Knowing your hardware specifications makes it easier for us to assist you. As previously mentioned, if you go into your UserCP (user control panel) you can enter your system specifications. Then when you post a question, we can quickly look up your hardware and be able to point you in the right direction. You can find the User CP link near the top of the forum page.

I have the very same problem as Notinf seems to be having. I will attach my .dmp when I got home (currently at work).

The crash only occurs while or just after I have been downloading files from my university's campus network, to which i am connected using VPN.

I think the guys just explained above that attaching the .dmp file is not much help....Please be specific with hardware specifications first and the Crash /BSOD message instead

I'm also experiencing similar problems.

When copying files over the LAN it crashes often with
DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_THAN_OR_EQUAL

And when copying files to a USB stick the system may hang. The graphics will still update but the mouse and keyboard will stop. However I am copying to a stick on a USB hub which the keyboard and mouse are also plugged into. It may be the case that the port which the hub is plugged into is stopping.

I've actually been receiving these errors during the last night so I will investigate more today.

P. S. The system has vista running on it before for a long time and seemed to be stable. Also the "System Health Report" reports no errors.

From Event Log:
An error was detected on device \Device\Harddisk3\DR3 during a paging operation.

(I'm assuming this is the USB stick I am copying files to.)

And this event appears all 3 times which I tested coping files to the USB stick.

As for the blue screens after the copying files over the network, there are no events :<

So I just tried again plugging the USB directly into the back panel (I also uninstalled Kapersky (sp) thinking that might have been affecting it because it's very buggy, but it worked, no hang.)

Everyone else: try messing with the location of where the stick is and see if that helps.
