error 0xc0000142 help!

I'm getting the below error message when I try to open Outlook 2007. This only happens if the PC has been left on over night or for a long time without use.

A reboot does a temp fix.

The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000142) Click OK to terminate the application

We could use your system specs in order to know what hardware you are running.

Found this on MS Support Forums:

To help resolve this issue, use the System File Checker tool (SFC.exe) to determine which file is causing the issue, and then replace the file. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. Open an elevated command prompt. To do this, click Start, click All Programs, click Accessories, right-click Command Prompt, and then click Run As Administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for a confirmation, type the password, or click Allow.
  2. Type the following command, and then press ENTER: sfc /scannow (yes there is a space after sfc) The sfc /scannow command scans all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with correct Microsoft versions.

Yeah I've just read that one a while back today and did the scan but all was OK.

I have just also completed a full system scan with IO bit security 380 and it found four Trojans :( >

I will have to wait now until tomorrow to see if that has done the trick.

Recommend you also download malwarebytes and Microsoft security essentials, scan and then take if forward from there.
You may need to temporarily uninstall any AV you have at present when installing Microsoft essentials.

Keep us posted and would be a good time to back up your critical data files

I will wait and see if the above has fixed the problem. I've added no new hardware and it's been running fine since I installed Win 7 a month ago. This problem only started 3 days ago so I'm thinking it will be Trojans:devil:.

I will try malwarebytes but I've found IO bit security 380 to be a better program. It's found problems on my systems in the past that malwarebytes hasn't!

I will also try Microsoft security essentials.

OK all OK now. It must have been the trojan's.

malwarebytes found no more than IO bit security 380.

I did not install Microsoft security essentials because I'm running Kaspersky .
