I was sailing smooth but last 2 days I am getting random screen locks and then have to force re-boot.

I looked at my minidump file "last modified date" and it shows 7/30/2010 - does that mean that windows did not crash - but the screen locked up anyway???

Also noticed that tonight when it locked up, some music i had playing kept playing till I force quit the computer. (don't know if that means anything)

If you wish to have others assist you with your computer's BSOD symptoms, upload the contents of your "\Windows\Minidump" folder. The procedure:

* Copy the contents of \Windows\Minidump to another (temporary) location somewhere on your machine.
* Zip up the copy.
* Attach the ZIP archive to your post using the "paperclip" (file attachments) button.
* Briefly describe the problem history and circumstances in the same post. Somebody will attend to your query as soon as possible.

OK here is the only one in the folder.

the question was also about the date of the md...

as the date of this md is not current

(7/2010 is when I had a series of crashes that turned out to be reseating memory to fix) now I have totally different problem.)
