NSIS Error?

I've got a new Sony Vaio with Win 7 64-bit. I have made a D-partition where I've moved all my personal files to (pics, documents & stuff).

Now, when I try to install VLC Player I get a NSIS Error: "Error writing temporary file. Make sure your temp folder is valid." What is this, and how do I fix it?

A similar thing happens with Windows Update. It finds a new update for me, but after I've installed the update it finds the same update again and wants to install it. I must have installed the same update 20 times by now!

And when I download a new Vaio update I extract it, but the installationprogress never starts.

Don't know if I've moved some important file from the registry or something? I use CCleaner, maybe that's got something to do with it..

Yeah, I've seen that one and tried it. Unfortunally I think my problem is worse than that I can fix it by only cleaning the browser's cache..

You can fix it by clearing the browser cache? And that works everytime?

No. I don't get it to work. But on that link it says that I should try cleaning the browser's cache or "update your anti-virus software (if installed) and download the installer again", but that doesn't do it for me unfortunally. And I don't think that the files are corrupted either. It's something wrong in my computer.

No one knows? Would really appreciate it.

Problem's solved! I wrote "icacls d:\ /setintegritylevel H" in the cmd and suddenly everything worked.

I've encountered the same problem of NSIS error writing temp file when trying to load VLC Player and HandBrake. I have the Windows 7 32-bit OS. I got so frustrated that I reinstalled an image from 9 months ago but still have the same problem. What does the "icacls d:\setintegrity level H" actually do? I didn't partition my computer so I assume I would refer to the "C drive". I'd appreciate your comments. Thanks.
