BSOD, part 2

I thought I was out of the woods and then the darned 'puter started spitting out BSODs again. Dump attached.

Did I mention that after 23 years of PC problems, I'm finally getting really, um, upset?

Phooey

Dumps blames memory corruption, test your RAM
RAM - Test with Memtest86+

Code:
BugCheck 4E, {99, bc1c, 0, bd5c}

Probably caused by : memory_corruption ( nt!MiBadShareCount+4c )

OK, I'll give it a try
Did the dump complain about an old wireless network driver (Atheros)? This was mentioned to me by CarlTR6.

No, the wireless drivers are fine

Code:
ctac32k.sys fffff880`0668f000 fffff880`0673d000 0x000ae000 0x486b3e7e 02/07/2008 12:38:22
Creative Audio Driver. Creative Worldwide Support
Code:

dne64x.sys fffff880`045d1000 fffff880`045fd000 0x0002c000 0x4918d964 11/11/2008 05:01:24
The dne64x.sys (Deterministic Network Enhancer) driver may be a component of a VPN client such as Cisco VPN. Remove such software

Ahh Crud. I need the Cisco VPN client to log in to work. I guess I'll install that on another machine. We'll see how memtest goes, all the RAM is brand new. if I get errors, could reseating the RAM correct it?

If any errors are reported you should replace the faulty modules

I removed the VPN software and have had a stable system since. When the BDOD appears, it will reboot an unattended system. I bailed on the VPN last night and I have not crashed since. Close the thread, if something else happens I'll open a new one. Thank you yowanvista
