Windows 7 - BSOD after adding another 1 gb RAM

i just installed an additional 1 gb ram on my pc.
Then when i tried to boot Windows 7 build 7201 i got a BSOD.
Then i went for a fresh installation then again i got a BSOD error.

do u guys know how to solve this problem please help me??

If it's RDRam, you must have installed 2 sticks. They only work in pairs. I'm guessing you are not using RDRam, so you probably have a timing issue that you will need to go into the bios to fix.

Try setting the ram timings in bios to the specs of your new ram. If the new ram is compatible with your motherboard and is faster than the previous 256, remove the 256 permanently.

i was using 512mb+ 256 mb DDR1 ram.
Now i replaced the 512mb DDR1 with 1Gb DD1. After doing that i am getting BSOD.

Maybe try just the single 1gb stick to see if there's anything wrong with it.

Try upping vNB to see if helps.

my problem was solve.
i flashed the bios. And now its working fine, no BSOD.

Anyways robers what is a vNB?

Northbridge voltage. More amount of RAM usually needs a bit more.
