Hi oscardvine,

The dumps you provided both point to the kernel of windows, one has something to do with bad memory, and the other is a corruption of system files.

To fix the corruption, there are two options, both are explained in the tutorials below. You can try both:

http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1538-sfc-scannow-command-system-file-checker.html

http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/433-disk-check.html

To check your RAM, please download memtest and run it to scan for errors. Please tell us the results.

Hello,

Start out by removing AVG. Here is the removal tool: http://download.avg.com/filedir/util/avg_arv_sup_____.dir/avgremoverx64.exe

Replace it with MSE: www.microsoft.com/Security_Essentials/

Next, update your nVidia graphics drivers. Here's a link: NVIDIA DRIVERS 258.96 WHQL

Finally, update your old nForce chipset drivers: NVIDIA DRIVERS 15.53 WHQL

If you get more BSODs, please enable driver verifier: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/101379-driver-verifier-enable-disable.html

Wait for several crashes, then post back using the BSOD Posting Instructions again.

AVG and other 3rd party anti-virus and firewall products are notorious for causing BSODs in Vista and Windows 7. jcgriff2 can tell you why, but all I can say is that I have seen countless BSODs caused by AVG.

I would be curious as to the source of your statement, and wonder if it is anywhere near as many as Norton, Kaspersky, Mcaffee, and the others.

Perhaps not as many as some others, but still common enough I have to eliminate it as a possible cause, just like SPTD.

Here are a handful of threads where AVG was the cause:

Hi,

A few examples of AVG as the cause of BSODs and other problems.

HL2, L4D, Crysis and others freezing computer with looping sound. - Tech Support Forum

I am sure you are aware that in cases such as these where the cause is not immediately obvious it is wise to remove anything that could be a potential cause. This includes AVG as it has been seen to BSOD before.

If it turns out that AVG is not the cause, which may be the case, then re-installing it is fine. However it is impossible to know if it is interfering in any way without removing it completely and seeing what happens.

It is standard troubleshooting procedure - if you suspect something may be causing the problem you remove/replace it and see what happens. This applies in all forms of troubleshooting, not just in the computer world.

Regards

here is an updated BSOD if it's any help!
This time it appears Acronis True Image caused the crash. Try removing it and see what happens.

Also, please remove Daemon Tools Lite. Then, remove SPTD with this tool: http://www.duplexsecure.com/download/SPTDinst-v172-x64.exe

Also, try installing these nForce drivers again: NVIDIA DRIVERS 15.53 WHQL

I still see some old ones.

Sounds good, hopefully you won't need to post here again. :)

Not that it's a problem for us, of course. ;)
