BSoD on Custom Build

Hello,

I've been having persistent BSoD problems on a custom rig. It happens mostly when I'm away. Of the few times I have been at my computer at the time of crash, I saw no warning signs.

Basic system info:
Windows 7 Professional (x64) retail
Fresh installation in March onto SSD

Hardware - Custom Build
Built in January but uses some older parts:
CPU: AMD Phenom II 720
Mobo: ASUS M4A79XTD Evo
GPU: Evga GTS 250 superclocked (used this card for a few years now)
Ram: Kingston hyperx KHX1333C7D3K4 (2 x 2gb)
SSD: OCZ Vertex 2 E 60gb
PSU: COOLER MASTER GX Series RS750-ACAAE3-US 750W

No memtest detected issues as on late April
No prime95 errors or induced crashes as of late April


If there's any other information or tests that might help please let me know.

Unfortunately there were no dumps in your file but I found one major candidate for BSODs

Uninstall, and de-install the driver after this tut:

There were a couple BSODs (03/28 and 04/20) referring to your Roxio Software with the directive to update the PX engine from here

or uninstall it completely if you don't use it.

Boot into Safe mode and see if the comp crashes there, too
if not activate Driver Verifier to force some dumps to narrow down the problem and post any new dumps

Thanks for the help, I've uninstalled daemon tools lite and the layer. I also updated the PF Engine, although I do not have any Roxio software.

I do not know how to cause the BSoD so testing in Safe Mode could take several hours. Instead I skipped straight to using verifier. It crashes after login but i still can't get a minidump. I've checked my settings with those listed on Nirsoft's blog.

And I've doubled checked and as you said there is no event being created for each crash. This is starting to sound like driver error affecting my HDDs. I'll run some more tests with verifier to narrow down the drivers. Thank you!

Quick update on my situation.

Turns out that my HDD, SSD and associated drivers are fine. I still cannot figure out why I do not get a minidump or events written for BSoD.

I think I've stabilized my computer by removing or updating 5 drivers:

1. A corrupt video driver - had to do a full uninstall and removal of my Nvidia drivers.

2. Out of date Ethernet driver that was incompatible with a windows update. I usually avoid installing Ethernet drivers through windows update but this is the first time is hasn't caused more problems.

3. Process Explorer 14.01's "procex141.sys" was buggy but the current version (14.12) has fixed this problem.

4. RTcore64.sys, the driver used in Evga Precision and other GPU overclocking utilities, is not compatible with my system. No update available so now I'm looking for an alternative for overclocking my GPU.

5. The driver for Networx, a Network Monitoring program that syncs with other computers and has a small footprint, was causing problems.

Computer has been stable for 24 hours now.
