You can test your internal HDD for now, run the test on the external next time you use it.
From the information below I would run the WD Lifeguard tests right after making a backup of your HDD.
You may loose all your data if the HDD fails.
What did the Dell hardware rep tell you?
Did you tell him about the 0x124 BSoD?
Did he ask you to do any tests?
Both your last crashes were the same as before.
STOP 0x00000124: WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR
Usual causes: Hardware, Incompatibility, May be driver corruption
This bug check indicates that a fatal hardware error has occurred. This bug check uses the error data that is provided by the Windows Hardware Error Architecture (WHEA).
Go to the Dell website and update these drivers.
Older drivers can cause crashes with Windows 7.
I will list alternative manufacturer sites if Dell doesn't have current drivers.
Delete any program listed for testing purposes, if they don't have a new software version or newer driver.
Any Driver with a date before 2009 is going to cause trouble with Windows 7, you need to update or remove the associated programs.
