Hi

Two days ago we started gettings random bsods on one of our business computers, they seem to occur during the scheduled windows backup, but not always, the backup of the bsod comp is on one of the 500gb internal drives, but 1 of the other office computer backups runs via the network to the 1tb external usb drive connected to the computer getting bsods, and this external drive was added 4 days ago, so im guessing this is the problem? or i could be wrong, its been a while since i got a bsod but im attaching the dump files i think youre supposed to and the dxdiag

this is the external drive recently bought which i think is causing this, but im not sure: Komplett.se - Western Digital Elements (WDBAAU0010HBK-EESN)

Really hope you can help, need this business computer working properly with all the backups working etc

Thanks in advance!

Regards

Hi plockpc5 welcome to SF :)

You have one and only minidump and that points to pca crash.

So please follow these steps in this order,

Uninstall and clean Panda Cloud Antivirus from your system using the http://www.pandasecurity.com/resources/sop/UNINSTALLER.exe
The uninstaller it will run, clean and then automatically restart.

Download and install http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/security_essentials/default.aspx

Enable windows firewall.

Hi.

With this order,

Clean your hard disks
http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/818-disk-cleanup-open-use.html

Check
your hard disks
http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/433-disk-check.html

Download and install Data Lifeguard Diagnostic and again check your hard disks using the Data Lifeguard Diagnostic.
(When you start DLD in the main menu you get the first idea about you hard disk condition with the green accept mark PASS) Run first the quick test then the extended test (this may take few hours).

Again the minidump points to a hard disk problem.(its a good idea to backup everything important in any other external hard disk)

Run the Event-Viewer and there find the most recent Wininit for both hard disks and upload them here.

Copy (view the screenshot) and paste the scan results in word then upload them.

Also update you adobe software\drivers.(all if possible)

Another bsod....

Is this because of the new 1TB WD ext hdd? Is there any evidence of this? ... kinda hard to work on a computer that bsods continuesly, so should i just disconnect the new drive and send it back? or is it another problem?

Thanks

Or is it because of the windows backup system? since the bsods usually occur when the backups on both computers are running?..chkdsk or data lifeguard diagnostics reported no errors as far as i could tell, quick test and extended test both passed without errors, and from the chkdsk readings i couldnt see any problems with the disks, so is it windows backup?

Thanks

The two driver verifier enabled crashes still point to the disk.sys driver. Meaning it could be the driver itself or the controller.

I would run a system file check to verify the driver.

Run a system file check to verify and repair your system files.
To do this type cmd in search, then right click to run as administrator, then
SFC /SCANNOW

Read here for more information http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1538-sfc-scannow-command-system-file-checker.html

Let us know the results from the report at the end.
