BSOD on new system build

Hello all! this is my first time posting in this forum. Unfortunately its about a problem that has been depressing me quite a bit.

I just built a new system last friday with the following specs:

Intel Core i5-2500
ASUS P8P67-M PRO,P67 (Rev 3.0)
G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2x2gb)
Galaxy GeForce GTX 465 1gb
CoolerMaster eXtreme Power 550W
Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit
2 Western Digital Caviar Blue on RAID 0

I received a BSOD within a few days after the build. I installed all updated drivers from the manufacturers website. I haven't updated the bios however... So far it has BSOD around 3-4 times, but it runs throughout the day just fine. Also happens while in-game as well.

The BSOD usually occurs at night, when the computer has been running all day. Leads my to think its probably a heat issue, as the CPU can get to 70° C+ during load. I'm a noob at figuring these problems out really, so I hope you guys can point me in the right direction.

I will include the picture of the BSOD, as well as the "Windows_NT6_BSOD_jcgriff2" folder and PERFMON HTML file as directed by the posting instructions. (I actually forgot to run the Dump & System File Collection app in administrator mode... I hope it won't matter or else I will have to wait until the next BSOD to run the .exe again.)

If you guys need more info, let me know please. Or if I did something terribly wrong, let me know as well.

I really appreciate any helpful responses, and I offer many thanks in advance!

PS. It is a bit of a long post... Sorry about that.

Since the cpu temps get pretty high during load, I was going to install a water cooler. Would it be wise to do this before the cpu stress test or should I leave the stock fan for this test?

Turn off the pc for 1 hour.

Start the pc and enter bios and post here the system and cpu temperature.

Play for 1 hour and post again here the system and cpu temperatures.

You can also download and install speccy for checking temperatures and more.
http://download.piriform.com/spsetup111.exe

Is a good idea to use air spray or blower and clean the cpu cooler and everything inside ur pc.

If your advanced with pc custom building then check the Thermal paste condition under the cpu cooler.

A water cooler is always a good idea!! :)

The first in enemy list for hardware is high temperatures!
-------------
Also remember, when you will be ready, run these 2 tests in this order,

Run RAM - Test with Memtest86+
Leave it running overnight if possible.

Run CPU - Stress Test with Prime95

After leaving the computer off for over an hour, and turning it back on, the bios listed the temperature of the cpu as 38° - 40° C. The motherboard lists it's own temperature as 27° C.

After playing GTA IV The Lost and the Damned for an hour and exiting out of the game, the temps for the cpu settle at around 48° C, but they peaked at around 74° C during gameplay. The system temperature settles around 64° C

I will recheck the thermal paste, and run the two tests after that.

I just finished the RAM test using memtest86+. I ran it overnight over a course of 10 hours, with 17 passes and no errors.
I will start prime95 a little later today.

I also reapplied thermal compound anyway, with arctic silver 5. I bought part of this computer as pre-assembled barebones case with the cpu and fan already installed, so I did not apply the paste initially.

I haven't had any new bsods. They take quite an effort to trigger actually, I believe most if not all of them occurred at the end of the day after the computer has been on all day constantly used for gaming by my brother and I. (He's still on summer break)

As for the water cooler, I was looking into the Corsair H50, but I'm not sure it would fit in a midsize case with a microatx motherboard... Any suggestions on this?

My advice: Start a new thread here http://www.sevenforums.com/hardware-devices/

With the name,

"I need advice with water cooling"

Post in this new thread all your hardware,if possible with pictures.

And post all your answers.

You will get lots of help! :)

I just installed speedfan to check the temps along with prime95.
Now I am a bit confused... in speedfan, the cpu is quite hot, idling around 80-90° C
There is a picture of fire next to the CPU, however the core temps are regular, around 40° C

Now when I start prime95, the CPU temp drops to around 37° C and all the core temps jump up to around 90° C or more...

Seeing 90° C as too high, I stopped the test after a minute.

I'm guessing I've been BSOD'ing because of these temps, but I don't know for sure.

So because my case is too small to support a water cooler, I got higher end fan and heatsink. This was quite hard to find because most heatsinks are huge, and the one I bought barley fits.

So after installing it, I found much better temps and was able to run prime95
I ran prime95 for 12 hours, with no errors whatsoever.

So I ended the test and concluded that the cpu was probably over heating.
But a few hours later, my brother used it to play games, and within an hour it got the same bsod... So what should I do now?

I don't believe I have anything overclocked... But I'll try changing all settings in bios to default anyway.

I did uninstall norton and installed mse in its place, though I don't think that had anything to do with the BSODs right?

The sonix usb pc camera driver probably came from a webcam I plugged in that installed itself. I'm not sure how to update that.

I had two more BSODs today; they are becoming more frequent it seems... :(

I will get on that.
However, the chipset driver told me that the driver I currently have is newer than the one I had just downloaded... Should I update it anyway?

Also, I cant seem to find the sonix usb pc camera driver anywhere... sorry haha
