Windows 7 - BSOD's when using 2 DIMMs of RAM |

BSOD's when using 2 DIMMs of RAM CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5 CPU 760 @ 2.80GHz
Motherboard: Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd. P55A-UD3
BIOS: Award Modular BIOS v6.00PG
HDD: (1) OCZ-VERTEX2 ATA Device (2) ST3500630AS ATA Device (3) Seagate FA GoFlex Desk USB Device
GFX: NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT
OS: Microsoft Windows 7 Professional 64-bit 7601 Multiprocessor Free Service Pack 1
Antivirus: Comodo
It seems that I'm facing a hardware issue, beacause I already tried several OS. The first 10-15 that the computer is powered, I'm getting restarts and BSODs. This happens only when I'm using a specific DIMM of RAM.
I have a kit of 2 DIMMs, OCZ PC3 12800 (7-8-8). When I'm using one of the two DIMMs, the system works fine. When I'm using the other one, the BSODs and the restarts start happening. The same happens when I'm using both ofc, synced or not.
I went to the market where I bought them to replace them, but they said that they ran a diagnostic and found nothing wrong with them.
What can I do? What else can be happening?
Thanks in advance.

Hi topgeargr welcome to SF
In some cases this happens because of faulty ram and in some cases because of faulty motherboard slot.
Lets make it simple and name the 2 dimms A and B.
Take one dimm, lets say the A and try\test it in each motherboard slot and see how it works.
Then do the same thing with dimm B and again see how it works. Write down every time the results. Finish with this and post back the results for the next step. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom Built by me. Thanks a lot Nice forums!
I alrady did that. I'm facing the problem only when using the dimm "B" (let's call it B). Memtest does not show any problems though. I am currently testing some voltage/timing settings in BIOS. But the thing is that the seller insists that the dimms are not faulty :/ | My System Specs | | OS Windows 7 Professional x64 |

Dont mess too much with bios, you dont want to make the things worst,is probably faulty ram,is wrong to do more damage for just a simple problem.
Plug the B dimm start the MEMTEST and live it to run overnight. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom Built by me. I set the voltage/delays to the ram's constructor reccomendation, 1.65v and 7-8-8. So far no blue screens! Let's hope it will stay that way. Euxaristw episis! | My System Specs | | OS Windows 7 Professional x64 |

""I set the voltage/delays to the ram's constructor recommendation"" Good idea!
Common sense
Ok now we must wait for the results, work play as usual and see what happens.
You are always welcome to post back with any results and news.

unfortunately the problem continues The weird thing is that it happens for about 10-15 minutes from the time it powers up. Then it works fine. I set the voltage and 1)CAS Latency Time 2)tRCD 3)tRP 4)tRAS to the recommended ones but it only stabilized it a bit, it didn't fix it. The latest BSOD I got had the message "PFN_LIST_CORRUPT".

Try by setting motherboard bios to optimized defaults.
If nothing helps i believe you must take the pc back to the seller.
This time take the pc not only the dimm and let them test it. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom Built by me. Yeap, that's what it has to be done. But the seller asks for 65 euros to check the computer, because despites I got all the parts from there, I didn't ask them to assemble it >_> They only check parts for free... | My System Specs | | OS Windows 7 Professional x64 |
